Wednesday, June 8, 2026 - The Kaduna state police command has arrested six members of a mob that k!lled two male travelers, Aliyu Mohammed, 40, and Muhammadu Sani, 45, who were traveling on a motorcycle to Tundun Wada Zaria to see their sick uncle on July 1.
According to the police, while the travelers were passing
through Gidan Kalu Village, some unidentified persons allegedly became
suspicious after seeing them riding a new motorcycle and began shouting
"thieves."
Fearing for their lives, the victims abandoned the
motorcycle and fled. They were, however, pursued by an angry mob who brutally
att@cked and lynched them to de@th.
On receipt of the complaint, Police operatives from Birnin
yero division swung into action and arrested one Abdullahi Mukailu Kigo and
five others
The suspects confessed to the crime and are currently in
Police custody, while investigation is ongoing to identify and apprehend other
persons who participated in the unlawful k!lling of the two victims
