Tuesday, November 3, 2026 - Properties worth millions of naira have been destroyed as a result of a fire that ravaged a feed mill factory in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The incident occurred at a feed mill factory located at Podo
area of Ibadan on Monday.
It affected a prefabricated building being used as a store
at the factory, with items worth millions of naira destroyed.
Chairman, Oyo State Fire Service, Maroof Akinwande, who
confirmed the incident, said that no life was lost.
Akinwande in a statement on Monday said, "On arrival,
it was discovered that a prefabricated building being used as a store had been
severely affected by the fire. The fire was successfully brought under control
and restricted from spreading to other buildings and facilities.
"Preliminary investigation suggested that the fire
might have been caused by a spontaneous reaction of materials used in the
factory".
