Thursday, October 15, 2026 -Former Nigerian footballer, Emmanuel Emenike has called out state governors, alleging that they have zero development plans for their states and are focused solely on embezzling public funds.
Expressing his displeasure in an Instagram post on
Wednesday, October 14, 2026, the ex-Super Eagle striker stated that the
arrogance of politicians makes him sick.
Emenike also criticised the security details accompanying
the governors with "empty stomach."
He concluded that Nigeria is irredeemable, noting that
during his playing days, he believed he was representing a country to be proud
of , unaware it was just an “embezzlement ground.”
“The arrogance and confidence in some of these Governor's
makes me sick and a lot of them doesn't have good plans for the future of their
state. Zero plans,” he wrote.
"Just embezzle money and una police and army go still
they follow them with empty stomach. Jokers.
“Nigeria is finished and gone. We thought it was a country
when when we played for Nigeria not knowing that it is an embezzlement
ground.”
