Wednesday, September 2, 2026 -The media team of the Oyo State APC governorship candidate, Senator Alli Sharafadeen Abiodun, has been called out after a video of the politician raised brows.
The trending video shows Senator Alli Sharafadeen Abiodun
carrying a young male journalist on his lap and rubbing his thigh.
The video, shared on X by Olorundare Olamide, the Senior
Special Assistant on New Media to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, had the
caption: "Why is the interviewer on his lap, who is clearly uncomfortable
in this video?… Why the lap rub, I hope no be wetin I dey think o?"
His media team and political supporters have however dismissed
any inappropriate insinuations, clarifying that the gesture was merely a
lighthearted, harmless solution to a seating shortage during a packed press
interaction
