Friday, September 18, 2026 - Singer Peter Okoye has explained why he decided to finally
share his side of the story surrounding the issues that led to the split of
music duo P-Square.
Speaking during an interview on Capital XTRA, Peter said he
had initially hoped those involved would eventually acknowledge that they had
wronged him and that there would be a “wind of change.”
However, he said the situation continued to get deeper,
prompting him to decide that it was time for him to tell his own truth.
“These guys have been speaking. Now it’s time to speak my
own truth,” he said.
Peter stressed that his decision was not driven by a desire
for public opinion or sympathy.
He said he felt P-Square fans deserved to know the truth
about what happened to the group.
“Not that I wanted the public opinion. I don’t want the
public opinion. But just that I feel like the fans of P-Square need justice for
what happened to their P-Square,” he said.
The singer’s comments come as he continues to provide his perspective on the long-running disagreements that eventually brought an end to P-Square’s partnership.
