Monday, August 24, 2026 -The family of a teacher and farmer with the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Mohammed Abubakar Ndakpada, has lamented that bandits are still holding him despite receiving N12m ransom and other items.
Ndakpada, a resident of Lata-Nna community in Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State, was abducted by suspected bandits on July 30, 2026.
According to the family, the abductors demanded and received N12 million, alongside food, drinks and other items, as part of negotiations for his release. However, despite fulfilling the demands, the kidnappers have allegedly refused to release Ndakpada and have now demanded an additional N5 million ransom.
