Sunday, August 30, 2026 - Son of former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, Bashir, has vowed never to forgive the All Progressives Congress, APC, for attacking his family at its weakest hour.
Bashir said even if El-Rufai returns from detention
victorious like India’s nationalist, Mahatma Gandhi, he would never forgive the
APC.
Posting on X, he vowed to acquire power to terrorise the APC
for attacking his family.
He wrote: “Even if my father emerges from his ordeal like
Gandhi and forgives and forgets, I won’t.
“I will acquire power somehow for the sole reason of
terrorising those (APC) that attacked like wolves upon my family at our
weakest. Friend or foe, it won’t matter.
“Caveat: Only @mahmudribadu will be spared. That one is my
biological brother. Everyone else is fair game.”
This comes amid the face-off between him and his brother,
Bello, a member of the House of Representatives.
On Friday, Bashir had called Bello several unprintable
names due to an undisclosed family feud and sibling rivalry.
Recall that El-Rufai has spent about 200 days in detention
in the custody of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences
Commission, ICPC, for alleged corruption during his tenure as governor of
Kaduna State.
